Manchester United boss Olé Gunnar Solskjaer has provided injury updates regarding two of his coveted stars goalkeeper David de Gea and forward Anthony Martial.

The Red Devils welcome French giants Paris Saint-Germain to Old Trafford tonight knowing fully well that a draw is enough to send them through to the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League already. United are the leaders of the group currently, having won three of their first four matches in the group and losing just once.

Despite suffering a knock to his knee in the 3-2 win against Southampton at the weekend, Spanish shot-stopper David de Gea has recovered, is fully fit, and is available for selection going into their Champions League tie on Wednesday night.

Anthony Martial was an absentee for the Southampton match, as he remained at the team’s hotel following a confirmation from Solskjaer that the forward was ill. However, the Frenchman is also fit and available for selection as well.

The manager said all the players – except Phil Jones who remains out with an injury and Luke Shaw who he says is nearing a return – all trained yesterday and all want to be in contention for the match as they all want to participate in the field battle.

At Southampton, Edison Cavani came on as a second-half substitute and made a huge impact on the match. Manchester United were already trailing the Saints 2-0 before his introduction. However, the Uruguayan assisted Bruno Fernandes and scored to beautifully headed goals to gift United a tremendous comeback win.

Dean Henderson also came on for De Gea and made some superb saves when the game was still 2-0 to keep the tie within reach.

Both players are making a claim to start the game against PSG tonight, but it remains to be seen who Solskjaer picks.
